SAR & mission physics
Everything here recomputes from the inputs and the CAD: noise-equivalent σ⁰ from the SAR radar equation, resolution, swath, range and azimuth ambiguities, the smallest ship each mode can detect against sea clutter, revisit over ports, energy and battery depth of discharge, data volume against downlink, slew agility from the CAD inertia, and propellant for drag and de-orbit. Defaults are the CADed design.
Port & shipping-lane analytics
A generic container port imaged in the mode you choose. The scene is simulated: sea clutter, land and ships are rendered with the resolution, noise floor and speckle from the physics tab. A real constant-false-alarm-rate detector then finds the ships, matches them to AIS reports and works out berth occupancy, the anchorage queue, dark vessels and whether the channel is blocked.
Build a ground prototype
You can't fly a satellite on the bench, but you can test the idea it depends on. A 60 GHz radar board rides a 1 m motorised rail and records an echo every 2.5 mm, exactly as Tideline records a pulse every 1 m of orbit. Back-projection focuses the echoes into a sharp image of a model harbour, through a cardboard “cloud” the camera can't see past. Every part is CADed, and the processing script runs on your laptop.
